Wenny was one many nicknames I had for my Grandma, possibly my favorite. She passed away about a month and a half before the release of this album. My grandmother was the first person to invest in me. She was the person that allowed me to bang on her pots, pans and trash cans. She was my best friend for most of my life. She understood the gift that was growing in me because she was married to a musician. She was the one who was annoyed at my non stop beat-boxing around the house. She believed in me. She was truly a force in my life. In her latter years up until her death she suffered from Alzheimers. She often would forget the people who were the closest to her. It was hard. I wanted nothing more for her to remember me. She often did even up to the last time that I saw her a few months before she went home to be with The Most High. Whenever we would talk on the phone I would record her hoping that my best friend would truly remember. Thank you for this short but immortalized conversation Wenny. You've earned your wings "Ffly Girl". Til we meet again I dedicate this record to you for watering this seed for as long as you could, As I continue to grow, I know that you are with me.
